Universitas Islam Makassar (UIM) is a private Islamic university in Makassar, Indonesia, founded by the Al-Gazali Higher Education Foundation. Officially established on June 6, 2000, UIM evolved from the merger and development of STIP (1984) and STAI Al-Gazali Makassar, continuing the legacy of earlier Islamic academic institutions like Akademi Dakwah NU, UNNU, and UNIZAl.
